My Journey With the Flowers

From a young age, I was drawn to the natural world in a way I couldn’t explain. I was enchanted by the quiet language of trees, the pull of open skies, and the unseen energy humming beneath it all.

But as life unfolded, difficult childhood experiences carved pathways of survival. To cope, I built walls around my feelings, and in doing so, I unintentionally blocked myself from that natural connection I’d once felt so deeply.

For years, I was disconnected from both myself and the subtle energies that had once felt like home.

That changed when I began my sobriety journey, a path that slowly led me back to my true nature and back to the natural world. My journey with flower essences began during a period of profound heartbreak.

One night, in the midst of physical and emotional agony, I woke with a clear message telling me to work with a specific plant: Datura, also known as Angel’s Trumpet. Datura is a plant of paradox. It's beautiful and poisonous, often associated with death, transformation, and transmutation.

Datura isn't an essence you casually reach for. But in that moment, I wasn’t casual. I was standing at the edge of myself, needing to give death to all that I was resisting letting go of.

After my journey with Datura, the next flower made itself known. And then the next. And then the next helping me shed, alchemize, and integrate so much more than just the heartbreak.

Over time, my work with flowers shifted from personal healing to something much more. It was a calling. When I began making my own flower essences, I felt as though I had done it a thousand times before.

The flowers spoke. I listened.

For the past year, I’ve been leading PORTAL (Flower Essence Journey Circles) in Nevada City, guiding others through plant connection and intuitive healing.

The work is now woven into me through Floral Alchemy Apothecary Integration Arts, and now intuitive readings.

The flowers are always speaking, and I am here to help you hear them.
